Here is something that you must put into your diary and make a day of. This great fundraising event will support Heartkids, with Congenital Heart Disease affecting 1 in 100 babies and being the leading cause of death amongst young children today.

Girls' Night In Crop Night

Back on the 30th October, Paperstash and Crystal Creations hosted a Girls Night In to raise money for the Cancer Council. It was a wonderful night, and all those who came had a great time. There was much productivity happening, with many leaving with a completed project. I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all those who donated to the cause.

Delivery arrived today of some gorgeous papers from the Eva range. As you can see from the images, there are papers called Noble, Versailles, Extravagance, French Lace and Courtier.

First Australian Scrapbook Magazine to donate a percentage of sales to NBCF!

Scrapbooking Memories is delighted to announce that for next month’s issue – Vol 10 No 7 – 10c of every copy sold at Australian newsagents and major chain and grocery stores will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Inside the magazine you’ll find interviews, special projects and features, all relating to Breast Cancer Month.

You will find pink products, sketches and layouts by Melissa Frances as well as a special and interactive competition from Bumble Bee Crafts and Melissa Frances Inc.

School Holiday Classes

Well it is that time again.......figuring out how to keep the kids occupied during the holidays!

We have classes on offer every week day, with something different on everyday. An email has been sent to those receiving the newsletter, otherwise give the shop a call to find out what is on offer and to make bookings. prices range from $11.50 to $13.00. payment is required at booking to ensure your place. As you know, I try to have something new instore each week. As advertisied in the scrapbooking magazines is the Filly Range from Moxie. These are girly papers around a horse theme, and very different. There were some boys papers that have arrived as well, for those who want something different for the boys.

Just arrived is the Doodlebug Design White Divine, also the new Making Memories "Spellbound" range. Spellbound is Halloween papers, glitter stickers and pebble brads. Not only are these papers great for Halloween, but also for boy pages. Drop in and take a look.

In the delivery also are mini glue dots, vellum glue dots and bone folders.

Well the entries are in and voting is now open for the monthly challenge for July. The entries close on the 15th August at 5pm.

Invitation Papers Now In Stock!

Finally some of the papers for invitations have arrived. Whether it is for a 16th, to an engagement or wedding, 60th or wedding anniversary, there are some gorgeous vellums and stickers to create some spectacular invites.

July Challenge Packs Available

That's right, the July monthly challenge packs are ready and available in store. The theme is "Destinations". Completed Layouts must be returned by the last day of the month. Layouts will be displayed in store for voting by customers for 1 week. First prize is a $40 in store voucher. Everything in the pack is to be used and it must be a single page LO.

Make sure you grab your challenge pack soon, on sale for $12.00 each.

School Holiday Classes

Following is the list of classes being run this school holidays!

Monday 7th & 14th July 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
Create a monogram block using pattern paper, flowers and a chipboard monogram.

Tuesday 8th July 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
Jewellery Making. Create a gorgeous necklace and bracelet.

Thursday 10th & 17th July 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
Create a scrapbook page containing a photo. Please bring along a photo.

Friday 11th & 18th July 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
To be advised at this stage.

Class cost is $11.50 for scrapbooking and $14 for jewellery making and is payable upon booking as we have a 5 per class maximum. For children aged from 5 years and up. All classes are fully supervised. These classes are for both boys and girls.

Noteworthy II Papers now in

Finally the rest of the MM Noteworthy II range has arrived. Papers from the Addie and Delaney range are absolutely gorgeous as all MM papers are.

Also I am looking to stock papers for doing up Invites for birthday parties, engagements and wedding. Something new to Paperstash but something I have had plenty of people in enquiring about.

Cancer Council Fundraising Crop Afternoon

On Sunday 29th June from 1pm to 5pm, Paperstash and Crystal Creations will be having a crop afternoon to raise money for The Cancer Council S.A. and also the exciting release of Melissa Frances' new papers "Thankful". The Thankful line was designed by Melissa after her recent battle with breast cancer and is aimed at all women who have something to be thankful for. The papers and stickers will be available at the crop afternoon and 10% of all sales on the day and the booking fee will be donated to the The Cancer Council SA. If you are unable to make the Crop afternoon, 10% of all sales from Saturday the 28th will also go to The Cancer Council. There will also be a donation box on the shop counter up until Monday 30th June for anyone interested in making a donation to this worthy cause.

Also I must mention a big thank you to Charmaine Palmer and the lovely ladies at Bumble Bee Crafts for donating an absolutely wonderful prize to be won by a lucky lady on the day.

Bookings will be essential and there is a limit of 10 places available. Please call me on 8723 5774 to pencil in a place for you, but as soon as the $10 is paid then you are guaranteed your spot. I know that most of us has either had cancer ourselves or known/related to someone who has had it, so what better way to support the Cancer Council while doing something we all love – SCRAPPING!!

Wild Asparagus Papers

For those of you that have been in and seen the gorgeous Wild Asparagus papers that have been in stock with the beautiful Title cards and Description cards for Mother, Sister, Father and Cousins will know what to expect with the new stuff. Papers and cards for Grandma, Grandpa, Home and Brothers and Boy oh Boy are now in store.

They are thick quality papers that will leave you wanting more. The previous stock is still in store but with a limited number of papers, so make sure to come in and see the new ones.

More goodies arrived in store!!

Those of you that have been waiting for Dimensional Magic, it has just arrived. Loose rings for albums that need them, in many different sizes have arrived. Noteworthy II Glitter die-cuts proved popular the last couple of weeks and sold very quickly, so I have 6 more of them, so make sure to grab your box of these gorgeous die-cuts.

The new Passport Collection released by Making Memories is out also. In have got through some gorgeous Varnished paper that would make any LO look amazing and Embellishment suitcases that have some delightful embellishments inside (both pictured above)

Queen's Birthday Weekend

With this weekend being a public holiday weekend, the shop will be open Saturday 9-1, but will be closed on Monday. It will re-open at 9.30am Tuesday.

The new stock has proven to be quite popular with many of you coming in and grabbing the gorgeous papers and embellishments. It has been great to keep meeting those of you who receive the newsletter and come in and introduce yourselves.

The one on one beginners scrapbooking classes are still running until the 18th June, so make sure you book your spot.

Beginners Classes now on

I am running beginners scrapbooking classes commencing from 19/5/08 and finishing on the 18/6/08. Week commencing the 19th is 11am - 1pm one week and then 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm the next week, Monday - Friday. Saturday mornings is 11am - 1pm. Starting on Tuesday 27th and running alternate weeks is a night class 6pm - 8pm. Bookings are essential. Classes are 2 hours and would normally cost $17.00 but will be for the price of $8.50. The National Scrapbooking Day was first created by the National Scrapbooking Association as a way to celebrate and promote the art and craft of Scrapbooking.
