The Big Re-opening!!

Phew! Who would have thought a year has already passed. Well I have finally got through my personal issues and now ready to reopen Paperstash.

Before I forget – Those ladies who purchased the last challenge pack before I shut shop and who still have their pages and would like to have them put on display for voting, please get them to me before the end of April. The challenge pages will be displayed for the month of May and be able to be voted on for that month. Winner decided at end of May.

Ok, the new location is at my house – 15 Lexington Crescent, Mount Gambier (off Conroe Drive). It will be open this Sunday, 18th April from 1pm to 5pm. Hours of trade from then on will be Thursday 6pm – 8pm, Saturday 3.30pm – 6pm, Sunday 2pm – 4pm. Hours are kind of crazy I know but most of my Saturdays for the next few months are taken up with 3 daughters playing netball all at different times taking up most of the day.

I can be available by appointment also on my mobile 0415 141 027. I am just going to work with the trading hours until I get a feel of what suits myself and you all best.

At this stage, I have no working EFTPOS so it will be cash only. So now for the great news – For the rest of the month of April there will be 30% off all stock (includes the 10% discount offered). As part of moving home and saving on some overheads, there will be 10% off all the time.

Another thing – I purchased Fidlers beading bits and pieces when they closed so will have more beads etc available once I sort through the HUGE box of jars!! I am also looking to start stocking some quilting accessories and would love some feedback on that from you guys – PLEASE!!!

Blogspot hasn’t been touched for soooooooooo long but will be updated on a regular basis from now on. Have also started a page for Paperstash and Crystal Creations on facebook so make sure to stop by and become a friend so I can keep you up to date through there also.

Any gift vouchers and reward cards will still be honoured, and anyone who ended up with a bonus voucher from the jar before I closed at Collins Court and still have them, they also will be honoured.

That’s right, I am relocating. I’m not closing down but just a change of location.

I have been frantically trying to find a suitable premises Closer to the CBD making shopping easier within the main street area but haven’t found the right one to call “home” for paperstash and crystal creations, do not fear, the lookout is still on.

So, in the meantime, I’m moving home. I will be trading from my house and running classes from there as well. It won’t be the same hours as it is currently.

Another exciting bit of news is that I will also be setting up an online shop so you can view and purchase from the comfort of your own home. a delivery service will also be available (some conditions apply)

So while I am trading from home there will constantly be a discount of 10% off everything as I will be saving on some overheads.

The shop hours will be Monday – Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 10am to 1 pm. Class detail will be publish once I have settled in at home. I am hoping to have the shop up and running by the 24th March but will let you know the date and the address as time gets closer.

So to help me reduce the amount of stock I need to move I am having a relocation sale from now until 1 pm on the 14th March with 20% off everything in store (includes already reduced items).

From visiting Sarah's blog the other day, 50 albums had arrived at her house from Aussie Scrap Source, so it is all coming together really well. MEMORY GIFT

An amazing person by the name of Sarah Gladman, felt hopeless in a lot of ways to be able to help those involved with the Victorian Bushfires, so she came up with the idea of creating albums and layouts to give to those who have lost everything so they need only ask family and friends for copies of photos to have an album. I not only think Sarah is a brilliant person for thinking up the idea but she has made it a reality. Many companies have donated albums so she is calling on people who scrapbook to make up layouts that are 97% complete so the victims need only add a pic and some journaling.

I have put my hand up as a drop off point for these layouts and if you are interested in helping out they need to be dropped off at the shop no later than the 15th of March as they have to be posted to Sarah to be received by the 20th March. The completed albums will be given to the Principal's of the 4 schools lost as they know exactly who they need to be given to. If you can also help by adding something to your blog so we can let as many people know as possible to get as much support as we can. After having Ash Wednesday leave it's scars on many locals, I think many of us understand how such devastation can affect people and leave them with nothing.

Thanks very much for your help and support in this brilliant idea that is now a reality!

Heartkids Fundraiser

Heartkids Fundraiser Reminder

This Sunday the 18th of January a fundraising scrapbook day is being held at Casadio Park from 9.30am til 4pm. The cost is $15 (to be paid on the day) for the whole day and there will be tea/coffee provided. Bring along some snacks and lunch for yourself. This event is supporting Heartkids and is a brilliant worthwhile cause. There will be raffles, goodie bags for all those who attend and lucky chair prizes. Create a monogram block using pattern paper, flowers and a chipboard monogram.

Jewellery Making. Create a gorgeous necklace and bracelet.

Thursday 10th & 17th July 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
Create a scrapbook page containing a photo. Please bring along a photo.

Friday 11th & 18th July 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm

Class cost is $11.50 for scrapbooking and $14 for jewellery making and is payable upon booking as we have a 5 per class maximum. For children aged from 5 years and up. All classes are fully supervised. These classes are for both boys and girls.

Cancer Council Fundraising Crop Afternoon

On Sunday 29th June from 1pm to 5pm, Paperstash and Crystal Creations will be having a crop afternoon to raise money for The Cancer Council S.A. and also the exciting release of Melissa Frances' new papers "Thankful". The Thankful line was designed by Melissa after her recent battle with breast cancer and is aimed at all women who have something to be thankful for. The papers and stickers will be available at the crop afternoon and 10% of all sales on the day and the booking fee will be donated to the The Cancer Council SA. If you are unable to make the Crop afternoon, 10% of all sales from Saturday the 28th will also go to The Cancer Council. There will also be a donation box on the shop counter up until Monday 30th June for anyone interested in making a donation to this worthy cause.

Also I must mention a big thank you to Charmaine Palmer and the lovely ladies at Bumble Bee Crafts for donating an absolutely wonderful prize to be won by a lucky lady on the day.

Bookings will be essential and there is a limit of 10 places available. Please call me on 8723 5774 to pencil in a place for you, but as soon as the $10 is paid then you are guaranteed your spot. I know that most of us has either had cancer ourselves or known/related to someone who has had it, so what better way to support the Cancer Council while doing something we all love – SCRAPPING!!

Those of you that have been waiting for Dimensional Magic, it has just arrived. Loose rings for albums that need them, in many different sizes have arrived. Noteworthy II Glitter die-cuts proved popular the last couple of weeks and sold very quickly, so I have 6 more of them, so make sure to grab your box of these gorgeous die-cuts.

The new Passport Collection released by Making Memories is out also. In have got through some gorgeous Varnished paper that would make any LO look amazing and Embellishment suitcases that have some delightful embellishments inside (both pictured above)

Queen's Birthday Weekend

With this weekend being a public holiday weekend, the shop will be open Saturday 9-1, but will be closed on Monday. It will re-open at 9.30am Tuesday.

The new stock has proven to be quite popular with many of you coming in and grabbing the gorgeous papers and embellishments. It has been great to keep meeting those of you who receive the newsletter and come in and introduce yourselves.

The one on one beginners scrapbooking classes are still running until the 18th June, so make sure you book your spot.

I am running beginners scrapbooking classes commencing from 19/5/08 and finishing on the 18/6/08. Week commencing the 19th is 11am - 1pm one week and then 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm the next week, Monday - Friday. Saturday mornings is 11am - 1pm. Starting on Tuesday 27th and running alternate weeks is a night class 6pm - 8pm. Bookings are essential. Classes are 2 hours and would normally cost $17.00 but will be for the price of $8.50. These are adorable. Ancestry.com has the house frame that is a frame that says family on it. Classic K Margo has an album in the shape of a party hat. Both kits contain everything you will need and have detailed instructions enclosed. Great ideas for the kids to try and also for a gift idea. Come in store and see the ones that I have put together.
